LEO CHRISTOPHER MURPHY
Leo Christopher Murphy, 95, of Panama City Beach, Florida, died January 23, 2008 in his home. He had been a resident here since 1960, moving here from Missouri. He owned the Sea Hunt Motel and worked for Chavers Fowhand Furniture. He was a member of the St. Andrew Baptist Church, Order of the Elks and the Square 8's. He was a devoted husband, father and avid fisherman. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Nellie Jane Murphy. He is survived by two daughters, Jeanette Stuart, Patricia Wamsley and husband Mike; two grandchildren, Susan Miranda, Gregg Wamsley; two great grandchildren, Seamus Wamsley, Simon Wamsley; brother, Lawrence Murphy; and sister, Kathleen Liles. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Those desiring to may make a contribution to Covenant Hospice, 107 West 19th Street, Panama City, Florida 32405 in memory of Leo C. Murphy.
