LENNETH LEON "MAC" McCREARY

Lenneth Leon "Mac" McCreary, 86, of Panama City, died Wednesday, January 3, 2007. He was born on December 25, 1920 in Thompkinsville, Kentucky. He was a retired salesman for Panama Machine & Supply. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II, where he was responsible for aerial photography. He was a former member of the Kiwanis club and an elder at St Andrew Presbyterian Church where he taught Sunday School for 20 years. He was also an artist and taught art at his home for 15 years. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Stone McCreary, Eugene McCreary, and a sister, Louise Pitcock. Mr. McCreary is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wanda Henderson McCreary, 2 daughters, Vicki McCreary Ahearn and her husband, Patrick, Tami McCreary Matthews and her husband, Jeffery, all of Panama City, 6 grandchildren, Christopher Edenfield, Joshua Lenneth Edenfield, Brianna Ahearn, Lenneth "Lee" Matthews, Billy "Mac" Matthews, Melody Matthews, 2 brothers, Cecil McCreary and Howard McCreary, 5 sisters, Lois Mansfield, Josephine Price, Sue Marcum, Jackie Alexander and Vanda McCreary, numerous nieces and nephews and brother-in-law, Don Henderson. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 – 6 p.m. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 2012-A Lisenby Avenue, Panama City, FL 32405.
