LAURENTICE "KIP" JOHNSON
Laurentice "Kip" Johnson, 62, of Panama City, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011. He was born January 14, 1949 in Panama City and had been a lifelong resident. He worked as a real estate agent and served in U.S. Marine Corp. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Cowart Johnson; son, Lauren Johnson; father, Bill Johnson; and brother, Steve Johnson. He is survived by his mother, Juanita Melvin; brother, Zane Melvin (Salli); two nieces, Abbie Melvin, Leila Melvin; and nephew, William Blake Melvin. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 – 3 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday at Compass Lake Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorial donations to Trinity Lutheran Church, 1001 W 11th Street, Panama City, FL 32401 in memory of Kip Johnson.
