Laura Ann Dean, 80, of Panama City, went to Heaven on Friday, May 13, 2016 in Ocala, Florida. She was born August 13, 1935 in Quincy, Florida to Samuel & Annie Bell Carman. She had been a resident of Panama City for the past 25 years moving here from Miami, FL. She was faithful employee in the childcare department at Hiland Park Baptist Church, where she was also a member. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, William R. Dean; 5 children, William Ray Dean Jr. (Debbie); Laura Grant, Sandra West (Jerome Herring); Melinda Martinez (Raul); Lynnette Martin (Dave); 8 grandchildren, Chris Dean, Beth Monserrate, Brandon West (Mikaela); Anthony Martinez (Carissa); Travis Martinez (Katie), Justin Martinez, Brett Martin, Nichole Martin; 2 great grandchildren, Maci Martinez, Kyle Martinez; brother, Donald Carman; 3 sisters, Mildred Morris, Nell Dean, Carol Burchnell and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Hiland Park Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Fondren officiating. The family will receive friends at the funreal home on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 5 p.m. EDT in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, Greensboro, Florida. Those desiring may make memorial donation to the Hiland Park Baptist Church Building Fund, 2611 N. Highway 231, Panama City, FL 32405. Active pallbearers are Wayne Givens, David Emory, Ed Dardon, Ray McCart, W.J. Marlow, Jerry Strickland, Charlie Bunch and Ralph Hammond. Honorary pallbearers are Lowell Russ and Jeff Hall.
