On October 18, 2026, Jesus led Laura Lillar Carter to her Eternal Home. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Carter Johnson; grandchildren: Rebekah Taylor (Nathaniel), Laura Mary Johnson Estes, (Forrest), Carter Paul Hawthorne Johnson; two great granddaughters: June Carter Estes and Joy Forrest Estes; three siblings: Lottie Moore, Howard Walters (Betty Jane), Alex Walters (Pat), and many nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.

The family would like to express gratitude to Peoples Hospice and Dr. Maria Tedtaotao and staff.

The family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral Home, Wednesday October 21, 2026 at 1:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 1:30.
