He was preceded in death by his father, Dayton Logue. He was born June 11, 1962 at Bay Memorial Hospital to Ann and Dayton Logue. A member of the Bay High class of '80, Lance lived all but 6 years in his cherished cove neighborhood, where as a child he loved building dams & forts, sailing, and football. He attended Birmingham Southern College, joined the beta beta chapter of ATO, and in his junior year, transferred to FSU, earning a B.A. in philosophy in 1984. Lance married his love, Diana Leigh Dildy, January 17, 1987 and they were blessed with three children: Drew, Neal, and Marina. At one time or another, Lance was employed at KFC, at Gaylords, for Marine Transportation as a deckhand, worked construction, set up rooms and audio/visual for a conference center, moved households cross country, and installed telephones in the FL Senate. Lance spent several years working at PM&S before joining Turner Supply Co., as a salesman, in 1990. Gordon Hindsman taught Lance the industrial supply business as Gordon gradually retired after 55 years on the road. Lance spent the next decade serving this area's industrial community. After a brief couple of years in banking employed by First Union, and then AmSouth, Lance returned to heavy industry in 2001 when his friends, Randell & Lisa McCall, asked him to come work for Maritech Machine. As his children grew, Lance tried to contribute by coaching baseball or soccer. He was a member of East Bay Rotary. After being diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease, or ALS, he spent his time reading, arguing with family, and friends, writing to the News Herald, or blogging on Politico.com. Many thanks to the members of First United Methodist Church, and his friends at Gold's Gym. Special thanks to Howard Patton, and Lisa & Pat Quirk.
