Kitsey Morris Daffin, 66, of Panama City, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014. She was born on January 12, 1948 in Samson, Alabama to Dorothy & Johnny Morris. She graduated from Florida State University with a master's degree in education. She was a retired school teacher for the Bay County School System, having taught at Bay, Mosley, Rutherford and was head of the English Department at St. John School. She later became principal at the CCA School until her health forced her to retire. She loved animals, collecting family heirlooms, cooking and growing orchids and other exotic plants. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Janie Grant; and her grandparents, Effie "Big Mama" & Albert "Big Daddy" McCullough. She is survived by her husband, Edgar Daffin; aunts, Mrs. Ralph Daffin, Voncile Clemmons, Mildred Cooley; cousins, Hunter Daffin (Lou), John Daffin, Edlyne Boyer (Michael), Sara Boykin, Rev. Burt Boykin, Jan Cooley; niece, Melissa Wilcox (Brad); brother-in-law, Don Grant; special friends, Harriett Groom, Russ & Cheri Hall; and a host of beloved cats, dogs and other four legged pets. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 23 in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Richard Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the service. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the Humane Society of Bay County, P.O.
