Abraham F. "Kim" Kimball, 71, of Panama City, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2014. He was born on February 1, 1943 in Pensacola, Florida to Abraham F. and Isla Kimball Sr. He received his Bachelor's degree from Emory University and his Master's degree from the University of West Florida. Lieutenant Colonel (LtCol) Kimball served his country navigating KC-135 Aerial Refuelers in Southeast Asia. Following the Vietnam war, he served as navigator on C-130 Hurricane Hunters tracking storms in the Gulf. LtCol Kimball was a graduate of the Air Command and Staff College. He earned three Air Medals and was a Master Navigator in addition to being awarded numerous campaign ribbons and meritorious service medals. After retiring from the Air Force Reserves, he went to work as Chief of Program Control for Armstrong Lab at Tyndall Air Force Base. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City and the Larry Bruce Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Clarence Foster Kimball and Richard Lee Kimball. He is survived by his wife, Susan Kimball; three sons, Charles Foster Kimball, John Clarence Kimball, Nathaniel Joel Kimball and wife Melissa; eight grandchildren, Matthew Thomas Kimball, Jessica Morgan Kimball, Grace Marler Masters, Marianne Hope Masters, Lily Susan Cairns-Kimball, Micah Joel Kimball, Ethan John Kimball, Elianna Zara Kimball; one sister, Melba Harbin and husband Louie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 29 in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 – 11 a.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Florida.
