KAY JO CORAM
Kay Jo Coram went home to be with the love of her life, Joe, and her Heavenly Father on Valentine's Day. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Josephine Bland; and brother, Oscar Bland. She is survived by her son, Derrick, and daughter-in-law, Kelli; and two brothers, Mack and Ted Bland.
Kay Jo was a member of St. Andrew Baptist, and the Chapel Sunday school class, where she grew to love her brothers and sisters in Christ. She also served with the Benevolence Ministry and Pregnancy Center, where she spent many weekends shopping for baby clothes at yard sales. Another ministry that had a special place in her heart was the Women of Worth, also known as W.O.W. For 19 years, Kay Jo taught at Margaret K. Lewis School, where she touched young lives and made lasting friendships with fellow teachers.
Please join us at 11 a.m. on Friday at the St. Andrew Baptist Church for this Celebration of Life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are made to Covenant Hospice, 107 W 19th Street, Panama City, FL 32405 or to Mercy Flight Southeast, 8864 Airport Boulevard, Leesburg, Florida 34788 in memory of Kay Jo Coram. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Chapel Sunday School Class. Kay Jo was one who loved all, and served all with love.
