June Poffenberger, of Lynn Haven, FL, went peacefully to be with the Lord on December 5, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was 87 years young. June was born May 31, 1932 in Samson, Alabama to the late Cleveland Harrison and Jessie (Worthington) Seale. In Addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Helene Fisk and Glenda Wadsworth, and her brothers, Carl Harrison Seale and Cleveland (Dude) Seale. Those left to cherish June's memory include her husband of 66 years, Don Poffenberger, her daughters, Kathy Poffenberger and Ginger Harbison; special nieces, Jessie Black, Karla Kahle, Krista Kahle, son-in-law Dr. Joe Harbison, Jay Harbison, Matt and Mynta Harbison, her precious great- grandsons John Parker Harbison and Jake Harbison, and many other nieces and nephews. June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed helping those in need and took special pride in caring for the graves of family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 11 am in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10-11 am prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Lynn Haven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt Harbison, John Parker Harbison, Jake Harbison, Jordan Kahle, Elliot Melvin, Tyler Melvin, Ronnie Rocher, and Alan Austin. The family will be forever grateful to Dr. Tim Smith and staff for their many years of compassionate care. We also wish to express deep gratitude to Covenant Care Hospice nurses, staff, and caregivers for the care and comfort provided to June and our family during this time, especially Crystal, who has become a special part of our family. In addition, many thanks to Monique Mimms, our visiting Angel. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in June's memory to the Lynn Haven Heritage Society for repairs to the McMullen Library, Covenant Care, or the Bay County Council on Aging.
