Katherine Marie Smith, 49, of Panama City Beach, FL passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021. She was born on April 26, 1972 in Riverdale, GA to Richard Alan Smith and Peggy Hubbard.

She was preceded in death by her first love, Eric Foye; her father, Richard Alan Smith; her maternal grandparents, Cecil and Mary Roberson, and her paternal grandparents, Clayton and Ruth Knudsen; her step-father, Roger Hubbard; and her in-laws Dick and Pat Smith. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Erica J. Smith, Reina F. Smith; her husband, Richard L. Smith III; and her grandchildren, Hannah Roberts, Marina Mae Blount, and Paisley J. Patton; her mother, Peggy Hubbard; her two brothers, Alan Smith (Tomorrow), and Clayton Smith (Mandy), and several nieces and nephews.

The most important thing in Kathy's life was her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and going to the beach. Kathy left us with one last wish and that was for all of her close friends and family to find Jesus and to accept the Lord as their Savior. She didn't want sadness and wanted everyone to remember the memories of the lives she's touched. She is home, she is free.

The family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 2-4 pm. A celebration of life will follow the visitation on Wednesday from 6-8 pm on Panama City Beach. Those desiring may make memorial donations to Wilson Funeral Home in memory of Katherine Smith.
