KARL BERTEL NELSON, SR.
Karl Bertel Nelson, Sr., 84, of Panama City, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013. He was born October 12, 1928 in Panama City and had been a lifelong resident. He was a longtime employee at Merrick Industries. Mr. Nelson was a member of the St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Aimee Jo Lee Nelson; two children, Karl Bertel Nelson, Jr. (Lisa), Aimee Olivia Smith (Christopher); five grandchildren, Porter Smith, Shelby Smith, Peyton Smith, Ruthie Nelson, Greg Nelson; sister, Hazel Hawkins; and numerous nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to your favorite charity or church in memory of Karl Nelson Sr.
