KARL ADAMS GOTSHALL

Karl Adams Gotshall, of Panama City, passed into perfect peace March 9, 2012. He was born December 22, 1946 in Elmhurst, Illinois. He moved to Panama City in September 1953.
He graduated from Bay High School in 1964. From 1967 to 1970, during the Viet Nam War, he served in the U.S. Navy as a radioman on the aircraft carriers USS Enterprise and USS America. An avid cyclist, he could be seen peddling to work during the 29 years he served Bay County Property Appraiser's Office. He retired in 2008. For the last 33 years of his life he lived to "Trust God, clean house and serve others" as a friend of Bill W. He attended Lynn Haven United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ruth Gotshall, and nephew, Eric Ansley. He is survived by his wife, Lindsay Stead Gotshall; daughter, Adrien Sheff; granddaughters, Amanda and Julia Sheff of Dunedin, FL; stepson, Christopher (Michele) Curry; sisters, Celia (James) Ansley and Sally (Roger) Johnson; sisters-in-law, Judy Miner and Weslae (Tootsie) Wetherington; and 10 nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Karl's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 25 at Lynn Haven United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation to one of the following:
