JUNIOR DAVID WEST
Junior David West, 83, of Panama City Beach, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012. He was born October 30, 1928 in Pelham, Georgia and had been a resident of Bay County since 1969. He served in the U.S. Navy for over 20 years having served during the Korean War. Mr. West was a Mason and a member of the Jenks Avenue Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Lisa West. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bermeth West, of Panama City Beach; three children, David West (Ruth), of Paducah, KY, Syble Bracken (Rick) of Enumclaw, WA, Robert West, of Panama City; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jack Reece officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 9 – 10 a.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday in the Enon Church of Christ Cemetery, Webb, AL with military honors conducted at the graveside. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the Jenks Avenue Church of Christ, 3332 Jenks Avenue, Panama City, FL 32405 in memory of Junior West.
