June Whitehurst, 81, of Panama City, died March 30, 2009 in a local nursing home. She was born April 29, 1927 in Allanton, Florida to Fred and Julia Beadnell Lutz. She had been a resident of Panama City all her life. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Kay Whitehurst, Dayna Boone and sister, Marion Woodruff. She is survived by two daughters, Beth Whitehurst, Sue Ralph and husband Joseph, six grandchildren, Douglas Boone, Cliff Fleming, III, Ryan Fleming, Stephanie Boone Carlson, Tiffany Fleming, Elliott Ralph, two great grandchildren, Maddox Good, Hanna Fleming and sister, Peggy Burch. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bill Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2 – 3 p.m. prior to the service.
