JULIAN DAN NELSON
Julian Dan Nelson, 76, of Panama City, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2009 in his home. He was born May 4, 1933 in Cypress, Florida. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the First Assembly of God of Panama City. He was preceded in death by his parents, Crawford and Vera Nelson, brother, Kenneth Nelson and sisters, Reba and Mavis. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mildred Nelson; son, Danny Nelson and wife Stacy; daughter, Angie Nelson Mitchem and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Ryan Nelson, Troy Nelson, Josh Nelson, Christopher Mitchem, Brandon Mitchem, Haleigh Mitchem, Morgan Mitchem; two brothers, Claude Nelson, Eddie Nelson; three sisters, Olga Green, Vegia Moore, Linda Proto, among many other extended family. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the First Assembly of God of Panama City with Pastor Phil Edwards, Brother Bob Claycomb and Brother Hilton Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 6 – 8 p.m. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. McKenzie and Covenant Hospice.
