JUDITH GAINER ADAMS
With her family at her side, Judith Gainer Adams fell asleep in death on January 14, 2013 after succumbing to a long battle with scleroderma. She was a descendent of area pioneer William Gainer, who built his home at Gainer Springs on Econfina Creek. Judy was born November 1948 to David and Golda Gainer at Lisenby Hospital. She graduated from Bay High School in 1966. She was a member of the Central Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She retired from Bay District Schools in 2000, having served in many capacities. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Mike Adams; her children, Andrea A. Perles and husband, Tom, Lorene Ann Adams and husband, Steve Kantor, Joseph I. Adams and fiancée, Amanda Whittington; grandchildren, Sidney and Matthew Perles; brother, Wes Gainer and wife Christine; sister, Susan Stanton and husband, Pat; mother-in-law, Ann Hutchison Pigman; brother-in-law, Pat Adams; nephews, Jason Stanton, David Stanton and wife Kristin, Yates Adams, Albert Adams and wife Molly. She is awaiting God's promise of the resurrection onto a paradise earth where there will be no more mourning, death, sickness and tears. A celebration of life service will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dick Gose officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 5 p.m., one hour prior to service time. The family will have a reception following the service at 3002 Bay Wing Loop, Panama City, 32405.
