JUDGE" RICHARD H. ALBRITTON JR. (Ret)

Richard Henry Albritton Jr., 72, of Panama City, passed away after a brief illness surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, June 20, 2020.  He was born March 19, 1948 to Richard Henry Albritton Sr. and Marylee Albritton.  Judge Albritton was a 4 ^th generation Bay County, Florida resident who had a passion for his faith, family, friends, community, and the outdoors.  His greatest legacy is that of his children which he always tried to instill in them an appreciation for giving back to this community, a love of the outdoors, and a strong belief in our Lord and Savior.  Those that know Judge Albritton know that he is in Heaven with his mentor, Reverend J.W. Hunt, hunting turkeys and running bush hooks along Heaven's river banks.

Judge Albritton was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marylee Tennyson.  He is survived by his loving companion, Rose Davis; six children, Richard "Rick" Albritton III, Matthew Albritton, Justin Albritton (Jamie), Adam Albritton, Kaydeebeth Albritton, Abel Albritton (Ashley); five grandchildren, Chloe, Cody, Gabriel, Brittney, Luke; one great grandchild, Ariel, and two sisters, Martha Sutton and Cherri Craven.  The family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. with a memorial service to be held at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Reverend Nixon Miller.  Private family graveside services will be held on Thursday in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Processing Center, POB 863765, Orlando, Florida 32886 or Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center, 210 East 11 ^th Street, Panama City, FL 32401 in memory of Richard Albritton.
