Obituary

Joseph Edward Villadsen survived eighty six years and 19 days on this Earth. During his time, he left an indelible mark on his Country, City and Family.  He was very proud of his service to our country as a United States Marine during the Korean Conflict.  After his service ended, he returned home to Alabama where he enrolled in the Alabama Polytechnic University in Auburn, Alabama. WAR EAGLE! While there he studied Engineering. After graduating, Joe found himself working with companies that were building the roadways of the southeast.  If you have driven in the southern states, you have been on a roadway that Joe helped to build.

Later he became the Director of Public Works in Panama City.  Joe was known as an inventive, thoughtful and caring leader who made sure the job was done while treating his employees with the utmost respect.

Joe served the City of Panama City and after retirement in 2003, he and Jeannine enjoyed traveling to many locations both in the United States and abroad. They made many friends during their trips and even more memories.

Joe is survived by his wife of over fifty six years, Jeannine; his two daughters Jodi (Doug) Enfinger of Ozark, Alabama and Jenny (Jim) Stafford of Panama City; four grandchildren, Cassi Parker, Dylan Perez, Drew Enfinger and Reno Perez; two Great Granddaughters, Maddi and Grey; Sister in Laws, Carolyn Pate of Montgomery, Alabama and Jackie Smedley of Ozark, Alabama.
