Joseph Steele of Panama City went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 21, 2023 at the age of 81. He was born to Flossie and Joseph Steele Sr on May 10, 1942 in East Stroudsburg, PA. He is survived by his brother Jim Steele, his wife Suzanne of 49 years, four children, and ten grandchildren. Eldest son Joseph H Steele III (Elizabeth) of Huntsville, AL, five grandchildren Joseph H Steele IV, John Mark, Nathan, Susie, and Silas. Daughter Heather Steele of Panama City and granddaughter Madelyn. Daughter Tiffany (Chris) Condon of Parker, CO and four grandchildren Caroline, C.J., Charlie, and Claire. And son John Steele of Panama City. He taught school, was a Mac Tool distributor and retired after 12 years with the Bay County Schools in teaching GED under the Bay County Sheriff's office jail facility, where he loved serving the Lord and helping men to have a better direction in life.

` Joe also had served in the US Army and loved reading historical military books, was a model train collector and enjoyed having his grandchildren run the train on a model table layout at Christmas time. He loved his wife, family, and friends dearly. Joe loved coaching his sons in baseball, basketball, and being at every soccer game. He was a man of many talents, fixing cars and a true DIYer at home. He loved walking and befriending people along the way and sharing with them.  He was faithful in love for his family and friends at church; Heritage Bible and Covenant Presbyterian. He touched the lives of many people, was selfless and greatly loved. He is now at peace and rest with Jesus.

To honor Joe's memory, donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to Mission of North America, Mission to the World, at Covenant Presbyterian Church or to the Gideons, visitation will be held at Wilsons Funeral Home on July 27 from 10-11am then memorial service at 11 am.
