With his family at his side, Joseph Michael Adams fell asleep in death on May 14, 2024. Mike was born at Adams Hospital in October 1945 to Joseph G. and Ann H. Adams. A proud descendent of Panama City founding families, Mike often regaled everyone with whimsical stories from the Pioneer Picnics, tales of St. Andrews' legends, and playing mischievous pranks on his beloved Papa, Mama (Judge Ira A. and Theodora F. Hutchison), Grandaddy Adams, and Momma Jane (Joseph Grady Sr. and Jane Adams).
Mike graduated from Bay High School in 1963 and retired from Bay District Schools in 2004 after serving over 30 years as an educator and occupational specialist. He was an active member and elder of the Central Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Mike was an avid boater, amateur radio operator, highly regarded teacher, and a friend to all.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Judith Gainer Adams, his brother-in-law Patrick Stanton, and nephew David Stanton.
He is survived by his children Andrea A. Perles (Tom Perles), Lorene A. Adams (Steve Kantor), Joseph I. Adams (Amanda Whittington); grandchildren Sidney Perles, Matt Perles; mother Ann H. Pigman; brother Patrick M. Adams; sister-in-law Susan G. Stanton; nephews Yates Adams (Nicki Adams), Albert Adams, Jason Stanton; and countless cousins.
He is awaiting God's promise of the resurrection, joining Judy in a paradise on earth where there will be no more mourning, death, sickness, or tears.
