John E. "Jack" Taylor, 89, of Panama City Beach, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015. He was born on April 15, 1925 in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Jack served in the Army Aircorp from 1943-1945. He was a pilot and at the young age of 19 he received his wings. While in the service he met Beverly and they were married in Phoenix, Arizona. That was 68 1/2 years ago.
Jack career spans many years and many states. He was the manager of CJ Byers Dental Supply Company in San Bernardino, California. He was the branch manager at SSWhite Dental in Atlanta GA. Later, Jack went into the liquor business. He was the owner of Villa Bottle Shop in Atlanta before he and Beverly retired to Panama City in 1985.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Beverly Taylor; four children, Peggy Torrea, Ed Taylor (Barbara), Burr Taylor (Julie), Jeanne Elliott (Phil); seven grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren. Memorialization was by cremation and a private family service has been held.
