John Guy Starling Sr., 83, of Panama City, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2024.  He was born July 18, 1941 in Panama City to Willard Winston & Estelle Starling Sr.  He was a 1959 graduate of Bay High School.  He was the retired owner and operator of Starling Oil Company, Camper's Inn and Florida Water Sports. He was a longtime member of the Panama City Rotary Club where he was a Paul Harris Fellow recipient.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 42 years, Patricia Starling and a brother, Willard Winston Starling Jr. John is survived by his wife, Dotty S. Osborne Starling; son, John Guy Starling Jr. (Martina); stepchildren, Robert Staats, Tracy Staats, Nina Puente (Henry), Chip Osborne (Erin); grandchildren, John J. Starling, Alexander Starling, Winston Starling, Nick Puente, Nathan Puente, Jonathan Puente, Savannah Staats, Cooper Osborne, Claire Osborne; two great grandchildren Elizabeth Joy Puente and Joshua Isaac Puente and his sister Ruth Starling Glenn. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12-1 pm prior to the service.  Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
