John Leonard Skinner Jr., 73, of Panama City Beach, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 in his home.  He was born October 25, 1948 in Brooklyn, New York.  He was an active real estate agent for Rosemary Beach Realty.  He was a member of the Board of Realtors and the Shark's Tooth Golf Club.  John aka "Skinny" lived a happy life with his family. He was a very successful business and family man. John loved his wife Cande with all his heart. John enjoyed playing golf every day, especially with his sons. He brought Joy to everyone he met with his smile and by teaching us not to stress over the little things. He was happy and loved life all the time, even in the hard times. Skinny made the world a better place and will be greatly missed.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Heather Skinner Botts and a sister, Deloris Anna Tuohey.  He is survived by his wife, Candace Franklin Skinner; six children, John Leonard Skinner III;  Wendy Reed, Chase Billman, Chad Billman (Denise), Christin Bartels (Jason), Cody "Jason" Pietsch (Ashleigh); nine grandchildren, Jamie Reed, A.J. Reed, Tyler Botts, John Leonard Skinner IV, Maia Mae Billman, Elliot Billman, Cami Bartels, Beck Bartels, Jaxson Pietsch and a sister, Dianne Skinner Hayden.  Memorial services will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. prior to the service.
