John R. "Doc" Shirah, Jr, 72, of Panama City, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014.  He was born December 30, 1941 in Moultrie, Georgia.  He was a retired pipefitter for the St. Joe Paper Company.  He is survived by his two daughters, Angela Reed (Rich), Sandra Shirah; four grandchildren, Victoria, Tiffany, Zeth, Brandi; four great grandchildren, Kiera, Nadia, Gabriel, Noah; and two brothers, Bill and Donnie Shirah. Memorialization will be by cremation and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
