John Daniel Mullis, 82, of Panama City, FL passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019. He was born on August 10, 1937 in Defuniak Springs, FL to Harvey and Laura Mullis. He served in the United States Navy and worked as a supervisor for Gulf Power. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Mullis, one daughter, Johnna Brown and his parents. He is survived by two daughters, Hazel Land (Jason), Robin Bruce (Brian); four grandchildren, Daniel Brown, Ryan Dixon, Tara Hopper (Josh), Adam Land; one great grandchild, Kennedy Brown; three sisters, Hazel Horn, Frances Bard, Judy Walker; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August, 23, 2019 at 2 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Fondren officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Emerald Coast Hospice in memory of John Mullis.
