John T. McCrary passed from this life on Friday, July 9, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. He was born on June 2, 1940 in Panama City and was a lifelong resident of the Millville area. He was a 1958 graduate of Bay High School.  John went on to have a 40 year career with Nabisco retiring in 2002.

His great passion in life was youth baseball. John coached both Little League and Pony League teams for many years. In honor of his many years of coaching, a baseball field in Millville was dedicated and named 'John McCrary Little League Field'.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Barbara, and his parents, Neal & Addie McCrary.  He is survived by a daughter, Georgia of Panama City; a brother, Reverend Wilmont McCrary (Patricia) of Sebring, FL; two sisters, Ila Hartley of Pensacola, FL; Phyllis Berger (Frank) of Tallahassee, FL; along with numerous nieces and nephews.  Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the Lynn Haven Cemetery with John's brother, Rev. Wilmont McCrary, officiating.
