JOHN W. MANVILLE, JR.
John W. Manville, Jr., 67, of Lynn Haven passed away Tuesday morning, February 14, 2012.
John was born on Feb. 10, 1945, in Miami and cultivated a love for traveling at a young age, living overseas in Sri Lanka for three years. He graduated from Southwest Miami Senior High School in 1963.
John joined the Navy in 1965, where he was a proud member of Patrol Squadron 31 based in San Diego, Ca. He then worked in the insurance industry until his retirement.
He loved traveling in his RV and building model ships.
John was instrumental in the preservation of Naval Patrol Planes at the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John "Jack" and Virginia Manville and is survived by his wife, Sherry and his daughter, Jamie.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John's name to the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation in Pensacola.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at Roselawn Cemetery in Tallahassee.
