July 17, 1928-January 22, 2010
John R. Gartner, Sr. (81) passed away at his home in Panama City, FL, January 22, 2010. Mr. Gartner was born in Mishawaka, IN, son of Ralph and Rose Gartner.
He was in the Merchant Marines (now the Coast Guard). He was a retired real estate broker. He was predeceased by his wife, Lois and his brother, Ralph Gartner, Jr. He is survived by his daughters Sonya Torian, Sue Troxel, and his sons, John Gartner, Jr. and Ralph Gartner, his sisters, Mary Riefe and Rose Gordon, many grand children and great grand children.
Viewing will be held on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at Thallemer-Goethals & Wells Funeral Home at 503 W. 3RD Street, Mishawaka, IN. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Mishawaka, IN.
