JOHN DONALD "DON" McCORMICK

John Donald "Don" McCormick, 74, of Panama City, passed away Monday, February 7, 2011. He was born June 25, 1936 in Washington County, Florida. He was a 1955 graduate of Bay High School. He was a cabinet maker and part owner of Etheridge Cabinet Shop. When he began working, he was the cleanup boy and retired as part owner. Mr. McCormick was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where he worked in all areas of the church and was the Sunday School Superintendent for 30 years. He loved hunting and fishing with Craig and Pat. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Pat H. McCormick; son, Donald Craig McCormick and wife, Faith; two grandchildren, James McCormick, Victoria McCormick; great grandson, Brayden Andrew McCormick; brother, George McCormick and wife, Mokey; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charles & Linda Cunningham, Michael & Linda Hughes, Dick & Carolyn Hughes; nieces and nephews, Scott McCormick, Perry Cunningham, Clay Cunningham, Ann Holcombe, Debbie Ruth and Vicki White. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Cook and Rev. Virgil Tillman officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 - 8 p.m. Those desiring may make memorial donations to Covenant Hospice, 107 W 19th Street, Panama City, FL 32405 in memory of Don McCormick.
