John G. Dean III, 71, of Panama City, FL passed away on Monday December 26, 2016. He was born May 14, 1945 at Tyndall A.F. B.  He graduated from Bay High School in 1963 and went on to complete his education at the University of West Florida. He was a computer scientist at the Naval Base in Panama City Beach, Florida, and retired after 44 years with the civil service. He was preceded in death by his father, John G. Dean Jr. and his step-father, John K. Watts. He is survived by two sons, John Andrew "Andy" Dean, Charles Gregory "Greg" Dean; three grandchildren, Charles Gregory Dean II, James Kelley Dean, Brayden Andrew Dean; mother, Lottie R. Watts; two sisters Suzanne W. Canady and Laurie L. Pierce (Rayburn). Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 2 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Flatt officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 pm prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Active pallbearers are John Andrew Dean, Joe Morrow, Jr., Rayburn Pierce, Jesse Canady, Cody Canady and John Canady.
