John Belcher, 77, of Panama City, FL, went home into the presence of his Heavenly Father on June 21, 2022.  He was born in Valdosta, GA to Madge and Robert Belcher.

He earned his mechanical engineering degree from Georgia Tech where he also swam competitively on the swim team. While in Atlanta, he met his future wife Judy. Following his service in the Army in Vietnam, he started his career as a mechanical engineer which included working at Wellstream (now Oceaneering) in Panama City, FL.

John's memory will be carried on by his wife Judy; his daughter Beth and her husband Geoff Senichenko; his grandchildren Oliver and Kaya; and his two sisters, Karen Sturtevant (Dick) and Ginny Parker. He was a loving husband, a fun dad and granddad. He had a great sense of humor and always made us laugh.

His family would like to express appreciation to the Vitas Healthcare employees who cared for him towards the end of his Alzheimer's journey. Wilson Funeral Home of Panama City FL  has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
