John Roy Banks, 33, of Panama City, is now with his Lord Jesus as of Wednesday, December 31, 2008. He was born at Bay Medical Center in Panama City on October 27, 1975 to then Ronald (Ronnie) & Vickie Banks. John grew up in Panama City and was a graduate of Rutherford High School. He was an award winning and accomplished body-builder and personal trainer in Florida and in Texas. Throughout his life, John's humor and one-of-a-kind spirit touched many people's lives who will remember him with a smile. He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Clyde Banks; maternal grandfather George E. Moore; uncle, Eddie Moore; step grandfather, Porter McBride and stepbrother, Jimmy McBride. John will be cherished and missed deeply by his parents, Ronnie Banks of Florida and Vickie & Jimmy McBride of Texas; brother, Ronnie (RB) Banks of Florida; sister, Rhonda Banks, stepbrother, Steven McBride; stepsister, Misty Langston, all of Texas; paternal grandmother, Doris Banks of Florida; maternal grandmother, Linda Moore of Texas; step grandmother, Dottie McBride; aunt & uncles; Patricia Hendley, Linda & Mickey Archer, Margaret & Rick Barker, Cathy & Steve Sarrett and many great aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members in addition to friends and loved ones who loved him deeply and always will. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Monday.
