Joan Redd Roper, 77, of Panama City, passed away May 11, 2015 in the Covenant Care Center. She was a lifelong resident of Panama City. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of St. Andrews Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Roper; daughter, Susan Hughes (Roger); son, Randy Roper; son, Jamie Roper (Shelly); three grandchildren, Stacy Fendley (Donell), Clint Hughes (Tamara) and Brittany Roper; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Bobbie Marcum (Don), and Gloria Pennington (Horton); and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Marcum officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m., one hour prior to service time.
