Joan Mildred Rogers, 78, of Southport, FL passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. She was born on February 5, 1943 in Panama City, FL to John and Florence Turner. She was a dedicated member of Kingswood Baptist Church where she helped build the church. She loved gardening, fishing and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse James Rogers and her parents. She is survived by two sons, James Stanley Rogers, John Rogers; four grandchildren, Jennifer Searcy (Tyler), Jason Rogers (Rebekah), Jessica Smith (King), Josh Odom & family; numerous great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 6 pm at Hiland Park Baptist Church Kingswood Campus, Southport, FL with Rev. Virgil Tillman officiating.
