Joan Albert Adams, 84 of Panama City, passed away on Friday, December 19,2025. She was born February 9, 1941 in St. Petersburg, FL. She graduated from St Petersburg High School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City. Throughout her many years, she was a wonderful cake baker/decorator and an excellent pianist who played for churches and choir programs. She also enjoyed art and crafts of all kinds but most of all, she loved Jesus and reading her Bible. Later in life, she spent several years living at Mathison Retirement Community, where she developed many new friendships among the residents and the wonderful staff. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Thomas “Tommy” Adams and a daughter, Brenda Lucille Adams Thompson. She is survived by her son, Lowell T. Adams, Jr (and wife, Karen) of Fort Worth, Texas; her daughter, Dawn Cerf (and husband, Jim); nine grandchildren, James Cerf (Kristina), Ashlee Palmer (Steve), Kristyn Thompson, Samantha Cerf, Christopher Mitchem, Amanda Thompson, David Adams (Jessica), Katie Adams Bruno (Galen) and Matthew Thompson and seven great-grandchildren, Andy, Katitlyn, Jayla, Tavier, Dylan, Shawn and Gabriel Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 11 am in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 am prior to the service. A private family interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
