Jo Ellen Vickers Mitchell, 86, of Lynn Haven, Florida, passed away Saturday, October 23, 2010. She was a lifelong resident of Bay County, Florida. She was a graduate of Bay High School, Class of 1942. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Panama City. She attended Pensacola Junior College and Gulf Coast Community College. She taught school at Haney Technical School and Pensacola Junior College. She was retired from Tyndall Air Force Base and International Paper Company.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Leonard Mitchell of Lynn Haven, 2 daughters, Linda Mitchell Morris and husband, Joseph H. Morris Jr. of Newnan, Georgia, Barbara Mitchell Leonard of Ponte Verda Beach, Florida, 4 grandchildren, Carrie Beasley Jones and husband Craig, Michael Wayne Leonard, Joseph Henry Morris III and wife Jeanne', Jeanne Morris Sands and husband Bennett, 8 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Margaret Jencks and husband Guy, of Lynn Haven, Shirley Snead and husband Robert of Atlanta, Georgia, brother, John Vickers and wife Dorothy of Lynn Haven.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Warren and Rev. Walter Ellisor officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
