Jewel Wooten Smith, 100, of Panama City, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019. She was born January 28, 1919 in Walton County, FL and had been a resident of Panama City since 1946. She was a member of the Hiland Park Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Comer Smith; son, Linwood Smith, sister, Theresa Chambless and a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Smith. She is survived by six sons, Grady Smith (Mary Lou), Math Smith (Gracie), Hilton Smith (Linda), Jimmy Smith (Judy), Larry Smith (Carol), David Smith, daughter-in-law, Jahe Smith, 24 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Fondren officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Lynn Haven Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the Hiland Park Baptist Church in memory of Jewel Smith.
