Jerry Edward Stevens, 65, of Panama City, FL passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025. He was born on September 12, 1960 to Jerry and Maudine Stevens of Louisville, Kentucky. Jerry served in the United States Army for 11 years, retiring in 1989 at the rank of Sergeant. He was a very humble person, always willing to help anyone. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, lovingly known as “Grump” by his grandchildren. He was a devoted University of Kentucky fan. He loved working outdoors, fishing, boating and golfing. He also loved to coach junior softball leagues. Above all, he loved being at home with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Stevens and his mother, Maudine Stevens. Jerry is survived by his wife, Tammie Stevens; four children, Chris Stevens (Griselda), Tyler Payton, Terry Payton (Ginger), Briana Wells (Eric); two grandchildren; brother, Steve Stevens (Kim); several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 2 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Craig Brannon officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 pm prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in the Southport Memorial Gardens.
