Jerry Frank Singletary, 83, of Panama City, FL passed away on Friday September 9, 2016. He was born on July 8, 1933 in Ochlocknee, GA to Early and Ruth Singletary. Following graduation from the University of Georgia, he worked for 31years as a Systems Analyst for the Department of Defense.  Jerry has been a resident of Panama City since 1989 after moving from Maryland.  He was a faithful member of St. Andrew Baptist Church where he served as a LifeChange Group teacher and was committed to the Tuesday Morning Men's Prayer Group.  Jerry was an active volunteer at the Center of Hope and the St. Andrew Community Medical Center. He was also a member of the Oakland Terrace Men's Club.  He played golf, kept up with yard work and loved to tell jokes.  Jerry deeply loved his family and is survived by his wife, Virginia Singletary; four children, Jerolee Oschack (Charles), Lisa Wade (Scott), Frank Singletary (Amy), Donna Dobbs (Michael); grandchildren Brayton & Clifton Oschack, Tyler, Ryan & Madeline Wade, Dalton & Mitchell Singletary and Harris Dobbs; his twin brother, Terry Singletary; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 14, 2016 at 11 am at St. Andrew Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Claunch officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-7 pm at Wilson Funeral Home. Interment will be Thursday at the Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Meigs, GA at 12 pm (eastern). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Center of Hope at St. Andrew Baptist Church in Jerry's memory.
