Jerry Lee George Jr., 61, of Southport, FL left this earthly life on Thursday, December 30, 2021. He was born on July 21, 1960 in Panama City, FL. He was a graduate of Mosley High School class of 1978. He was a lifetime member of the pipefitter Local Union 366 formerly 229. He spent the last 25 years as the estimator for H&T Contractors in Freeport, FL. Jerry would say that his greatest accomplishments in life was being a Daddy and PawPaw. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Lee and Carolyn George Sr.; brother-in-law, David Scott; two granddaughters, Ashlee Jordan and Karlee Purvis. He is survived by two daughters, Kadey George Purvis (James),  Jenna George; three granddaughters, Isabella Reynolds, Sonja Reynolds, Sophie Mae Purvis; two sisters, Trina George Stone (Frankie), Niki George Scott Stewart (Dallas); special niece, Meaghan Scott (Logan Foster); nephews, Joshua Stone (Amanda), Phillip Stone (Jessica), Nicholas Scott, Matthew Scott (Taylor); great nephews, Gavin Stone and Matthew Scott Jr. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 12 noon in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Tim Tindle, Mike Bascetta, Randy Aldridge, Chris Bedwell, Tony Bailey and T.J. Tindle The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m.-12 noon prior to the service.
