Jeraldine Brock Cutchens, born August 22, 1922 in Cottondale, Florida, passed away Saturday, September 17, at the home of her daughter, Joan.  She was baptized in Round Lake as a child and remained a Baptist all of her life.

She is survived by her children, Jack (Gloria) Cutchens, Joan Hughes, and Jane Shores McCutcheon (Harold Greene); grandchildren, Charles Hughes (Sheila), Stacey Allen (Tom), and Allison Hall (Michael); Great grandchildren, Alex Allen, Chase Allen and Kate Allen; brother, Lloyd Brock (Betty Lou); and much loved nieces and nephews.  Her husband, Whitt Alexander Cutchens died in 1998; and she was also predeceased by her daughter, Juanda Grace Carroll, parents, Eugene Brock and Grace Shores Brock, and siblings, Hubert Brock, Dorothy Wilferd, Clinton Brock and Henry Brock as well as her grandson Frank Rowell Hughes and sons-in-law, Gary Carroll and Frank Smythe Hughes.

Her father, Eugene Brock, was killed when she was only twelve years of age; and she was raised by her strong and independent mother, Grace Shores Brock, to also be a strong and independent woman.  Gifted with many talents, she was an avid gardener who usually had something good to eat in her garden or in a flower bed beside her house.  Her daughters were always well dressed and in style due to her ability to create with her sewing machine.  She liked to arrange flowers and to decorate for holidays.

A celebration of her life planned and hosted by her daughter, Joan and grandchildren, Charley, Stacey, and Allison, was enjoyed at her 100 ^th birthday.  She had a great time sharing the occasion with family and friends.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in the Lynn Haven Cemetery.
