Maggie "Jeanette" Gibson Bowden, 90, of Panama City, passed away January 11, 2020. She was born October 13, 1929 in Altha, Florida to William and Maggie Gibson. She had been a resident of Panama City since 1961 moving here from Blountstown, Florida. She retired in 1994 from Bayline Railroad where she was a purchasing agent. She was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church; where she was a member of the Ruth Circle. She was also a member of the National Secretaries Association, American Business Women, and the Woman's Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas E. "Rusty" Bowden; son, Maxie Allen Bowden; and sister, Amy Musgrove. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Singley (Sidney); son, Todd Bowden (Crisann); grandson, Allen Singley (Tara); granddaughter, Maggie Jonette Kimbro (Bryan); 6 great grandchildren, Alley Singley, Jonathan Kimbro, Julianna Singley, Maggie Bryanna Kimbro, Savannah Singley and Jace Singley; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Forest Park United Methodist Church with Rev. David Willis, Dr. John Friedman and Rev. Allen Singley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m., one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow the service in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Bryan Kimbro, Jonathan Kimbro, Iggy Galarza, Matt Meredith, Delfino Ponce and Joe Hewett. Honorary pallbearers will be Forest Park United Methodist Church Friday Night Group and the Ruth Circle. In lieu of flowers, those desiring to may make a donation to Forest Park United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1401 West 23rd Street, Panama City, Florida 32405 in memory Jeanette Bowden.
