Jean Longshore Faulkner, 81, of Panama City, FL passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Jeanie was born on March 14, 1941, in Panama City, FL to the late Clinton Lamar and Marguerite Byrd Longshore. She graduated from Wewahitchka High School in 1958. Jeanie attended Florida State University where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Education. She went on to complete a Master's degree in Business Education from the University of West Florida. Jeanie taught Business Education at Haney Technical College and was an adjunct professor at Gulf Coast State College. Jeanie was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church of Panama City, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, directed the Jr Choir, and led her Women's Circle Bible study group. Jeanie loved the Lord, her family, her church, and her students.

Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents, Lamar and Marguerite Byrd Longshore. She is survived by her husband, Joe Marvin Faulkner; three children, Harold Taylor (Lisa), Claire Taylor Sherman-Heugh (Rick Heugh), Joseph Thomas Faulkner; two grandchildren, Eric Andrew Taylor (Noelle), Alexandria Claire Sherman and one sister, Carol Ann Longshore Childress (Billy).

A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Panama City on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 11:00am with the Reverend Ron Brown and Dr. Jeremy Pridgeon officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10:00am until the start of the service.  Flowers / plants are welcome, other donations can be made in Jeanie's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to the First Presbyterian Church of Panama City Building Fund.
