Obituary

Jasper Newton Bailey, 89, of Panama City, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017. He was born May 18, 1928 in Arredondo, Fl. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army Air Corp during the Korean War. He was a founding member of the Gem & Mineral Society. He worked as an electronics technician for the Federal Aviation Administration for 37 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Lee Bailey and a son, Dan Bailey. He is survived by 3 children, Joan Bailey Sands, Joseph Dale Bailey, Cynthia Ann Harvey (Bill); daughter-in-law, Carol Bailey; brother, Oliver "Bud" Bailey, sister, Janie Quincy; 5 grandchildren, one great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens with military honors conducted at the service.
