Janie Garrett Maender, 86, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017.  She was born January 22, 1931 in Crestview, Florida. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Eli Garrett; mother, Lula Cumbie Garrett; three brothers, Bill Garrett, J.C. Garrett, John Garrett; three sisters, Dale Hallford, Betty Smith, and Lois Wood.  She is survived by her husband, James C. Maender Sr; son, James C. Maender Jr. (Laura); two daughters, Mariann Maender, Theresa Maender; granddaughter, Jessica Maender; great granddaughter, Zoey Maender; brother, Monroe Garrett and numerous nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5-7 p.m.  Private family graveside services will be held on Tuesday in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens.  Those desiring may make memorial donations to the Bay County Humane Society in memory of Janie Maender.
