Janice Lucille "Lucy" Dobbs-McCoy, 88 of Panama City, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022. She was born September 23, 1933 in Cottonwood, Alabama. She was a retired school teacher from Bay District Schools and was a member of the Parker United Methodist Church in Callaway. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Dobbs; son, Scott Anthony Dobbs; her parents, four brothers and a sister. She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" McCoy; two sons, William Charles "Bill" Dobbs (Debbie); Robert Edward "Bobby" Dobbs (Melinda); 3 grandchildren, Tyler Dobbs, Kenan Dobbs and Lauren Dobbs, along with many other extended relatives. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Parker United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery. Lucy was a devoted Christian who loved Jesus with all of her heart. She was dedicated to her church family and would always be the first to lend a helping hand. She also enjoyed walking, gardening, baking, and spending time with her own family. She was a loyal servant, teacher, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
