Jane Elizabeth Lehmeyer

Jane Elizabeth Lehmeyer née Dugan passed away at Covenant Hospice Care Center at Bay Medical in Panama City, Florida on Tuesday, December 31, 2013. She was 81.
She is preceded in death by her husband Albert of 58 years and her parents Daniel and Anne Elizabeth Dugan. She is survived by her daughters Mary Ellen Pozen and Anne Marie Lehmeyer, son in law Jeffrey, grandchildren Elizabeth and Michael, sister Phyllis Bailey and brother Francis Dugan.
Mrs. Lehmeyer was a native of Cincinnati Ohio and retired with her husband to Punta Gorda, Florida in 1994. She relocated to Panama City in 2011 to be closer to her grandchildren. Prior to her death she resided at Mathison Retirement Home and Burnt Store Marina.
Mrs. Lehmeyer was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Education. She was an elementary teacher most recently at St. Helens in Newberry, Ohio. She loved to sew, quilt, cook, and travel with her husband. She will be remembered for her love of entertaining.
The family will receive visitors at Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, January 3rd from 4:30-6:30, with a funeral Mass at St Dominic's Catholic Church on Saturday, January 4th at 10am. Final internment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cincinnati with her husband.
The family would like to thank the staff at Covenant Hospice Care Center for the outstanding care in Jane's last week of life. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Project Linus at http://www.projectlinus.org/donations. This was a cause that Jane served most loyally with her sewing skills.
