Obituary

A memorial service celebrating the life of Jane S. Highfield will be held at 2 pm on Monday June 30th, 2008 at Grace Presbyterian Church in Panama City. A reception will follow for family and friends.
Jane is survived by her loving husband, Dean P. Highfield, of 50 years. She is survived by her daughter Shirley Jane Graf and son-in-law Bob Graf and grandchildren Heather Jane and Jeremy William Graf of Lake Worth, Florida; her brother Norman Singletary and sister-in-law Mae Singletary of Orlando; her nieces Carol Proctor of Jacksonville; Susie Harrison and nephews Norman Singletary and John Singletary all of Orlando.
Jane was a second generation Floridian. She attended the University of Florida. She was a member of the first graduation class of Master Gardeners in Bay County and served for several years on the Board of the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs as the Junior Gardener Chairman. Jane loved flowers and gardening. She was a longtime member of the Daffodil Circle and Past President of the Panama City Garden Club. She was a nationally accredited Master Flower Show Judge and Landscape Design Consultant. She was a member of the Conservation Dept. of the Womans Club of Panama City for several years. Jane was also a past member of the Panama City Lions Club Auxiliary.
