JANA CAROL CARSWELL CONNELLY

Jana Carol Carswell Connelly, 42, of Panama City, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2013. She was born August 4, 1971 in Panama City and was a 1989 graduate of Bay High School. She graduated from the University of West Florida in 1994. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City; the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority Alumni Association, and was a former member of the Junior Service League. She was preceded in death by her father, James C. Carswell Jr. and paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. J.C. Carswell. She is survived by her husband, Brian J. Connelly; mother, Mrs. James (Carol) Carswell Jr.; sister, Joy Carswell Winn and children, Creyton and Caroline; maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. John O. Thomas; father-in-law, Earnest Hamm; mother-in-law, Mrs. Harriet Calcaterra and husband Jim; and extended family, Gary D. Thomas, Mr. & Mrs. Walter (Glenda) McGuire, Dr. & Mrs. Charles (Margaret) Fulton; Mr. & Mrs. Christopher (Mindy) Fulton and son, Tyler; Mr. & Mrs. Matt (Kadi) Cole and son, Ethan; Mr. & Mrs. Brandon (Chrissy) Mack and children, Ben, Annie, Ryan; Mr. & Mrs. Nathan (Deidre) Whitt and daughters, Alilia and Sophia. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Fulton officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12-1 p.m. on Friday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jana's memory may be made to the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation, Inc. 1386 Ponce de Leon Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30306. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Bay High School Class of 1989.
